T. Aaron Cisco loves stories- reading them, sharing them, and, of course, writing them. Growing up, he didn’t have many friends, but he had more than his share of bullies, so he found refuge in towering stacks of books, endless hours of television, and weekends spent at the multiplex.
A lifetime of feeling like the last kid picked for a game he never wanted to play could have made him bitter. Instead, it gave him a vivid imagination, an irrepressible sense of longing, and an unshakable determination to love what he loves freely, enthusiastically, and without apology.
These days, T. Aaron is a little less lonely and a whole lot more determined to make sure no one ever feels less than for digging what they dig.
Because, in the end, it’s all about the SQUEE!!!
His books have done well, including the chart-topping thriller Pretty Girls Don’t Do Murder and the entire Land of Bone trilogy (The Unbanished, The Unrested, and The Unbodied), all of which have topped various Amazon’s Bestseller Lists, along with his humorous memoir, Black Nerd Blue Box: The Wibbly Wobbly Memoirs of a Lonely Whovian.
Beyond his own works, T. Aaron Cisco was a contributing writer to OUTSIDE IN REGENERATES: 163 New New Perspectives on 163 Classic DOCTOR WHO Stories by 163 Writers from ATB Publishing. His career is decorated with numerous accolades, including local Emmy Awards, the MN Society of Professional Journalists Page One Award, and recognition as one of the Ten Black Change-Makers Influencing the Twin Cities Arts Scene. He’s also been featured on Hennepin County Libraries’ prestigious Minnesota Black Authors list.
